Hepatitis B is commonly transmitted from mother to child at birth, leading to chronic infection in 90% of exposed infants. Through the Preventing Future Infections project, WHA partners with SAAFARA Hépatites Sénégal to develop an advocacy strategy addressing barriers to hepatitis B PMTCT services in Senegal.
