Caroline Thomas is the Founder of Peduli Hati Bangsa Foundation, a community-led organization in Indonesia established by people living with and affected by viral hepatitis and HIV. Her work is deeply shaped by her own lived experience, which drives her commitment to ensuring that no one is left behind in access to prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and care.

With a background in public health, Caroline is particularly passionate about treatment education and making services work better for communities. Currently she leads community-led monitoring initiatives that document real-life barriers faced by people accessing hepatitis and HIV services, and uses this evidence for service improvement.

Since 2019, she also led community-driven hepatitis C micro-elimination efforts in correctional facilities in Jakarta and Bali, reaching around 17,000 people through screening and linkage to treatment, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.
