Camila is the SAFEStart+ Project Manager at WHA. She has >10 years of experience in infectious disease research and implementation, having led and implemented community-based and decentralised viral hepatitis testing and hepatitis B vaccination projects among migrant and refugee communities in Europe and among people living with HIV in Uganda and Cameroon. She is passionate about increasing access to health care through sustainable and innovative solutions and by partnering with and centering communities and CSOs at the center in order to reach this goal. Camila is an Associated Researcher at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) and was previously the VP of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA) Health Promotion Section and has consulted for WHO European Region and PAHO. Camila is fluent in both English and Spanish.
