Today, the United Nations (UN) is convening a High-Level Meeting (HLM) on Universal Health Coverage (UHC) at the General Assembly to discuss reinvigorating progress for delivering health care for all. Following the HLM, heads of state, political and health leaders, and policymakers will agree and approve a political declaration that calls on countries to strengthen and expand hepatitis elimination programmes as part of UHC.  

To keep the momentum on the goal of achieving hepatitis elimination and UHC, WHA has created a new briefing for advocates to support them as they call on national governments to uphold their commitments at the UN HLM to achieving hepatitis elimination as part of UHC.
