Viral hepatitis is one of the leading causes of liver cancer, yet according to research by WHA, nearly half (42%) of people globally are not aware of the connection between liver cancer and hepatitis. WHA has created a new advocacy briefing which highlights how a lack of access to testing, treatment and care for viral hepatitis is driving liver cancer rates and includes calls to action to address this.
