This is an exciting time for the hepatitis community as we approach World Hepatitis Day 2025. This year’s theme, ‘Let’s break it down’ resonates deeply with the vital work we’re driving forward, helping people to get the facts and take action. Turn to page 8 to find out more.

Over the past few months, we’ve launched findings from ground breaking community based research, designed to deepen our collective understanding of the challenges we face. The Hepatitis Delta Global Landscape Survey highlights critical gaps in awareness and access, the Hepatitis Stigma Survey emphasises the harsh reality of stigma faced by those living with hepatitis, and we share valuable insights from successful hepatitis elimination strategies across East Asia.

WHA has been speaking out at numerous high-level forums, from the UN to the World Health Assembly, to address the critical but often overlooked connection between hepatitis and liver cancer. Alongside our new white paper, we’re stressing the need to integrate hepatitis interventions into national cancer strategies as a serious life saving solution.
