Yiyou Mutual Aid Charity is a non-governmental charity organisation that focuses on hepatitis issues. It aims to advocate for the rights of the hepatitis group, safeguard the equal rights of the hepatitis B group in life, medical care, education, and work, and promote the improvement of relevant systems and policies to protect the legitimate rights and interests of the hepatitis group. It was registered with the Guangzhou Civil Affairs Department in 2015.
Due to the large number of hepatitis B carriers in their country, there is serious discrimination against hepatitis B carriers in society. For many years, the Yiyou Mutual Aid Team has been committed to calling on social groups to look at hepatitis B carriers scientifically, not to discriminate against or distance themselves from infected people, and to jointly build an equal and friendly spiritual home.
Yiyou Mutual Aid Charity has participated in and successfully promoted the country to introduce regulations prohibiting hepatitis B tests for school admission and employment and promoted the implementation of relevant policies for hepatitis B carriers working in the food industry, pharmaceutical industry, petroleum, aviation, early childhood education and other fields, striving for equal education and employment rights for Chinese hepatitis B carriers.
