Universal Humanitarian Healthcare is an international non-governmental, not-for-profit organisation with headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.
They believe in uplifting livelihoods by strengthening access to quality healthcare for the most deserving in the society.
They work with government agencies, non-governmental organisations, religious and community leaders to address the burden of viral hepatitis to the society. They put emphasis on the disease surveillance, antenatal screening, treatment of active infections, and preventive measures including vaccinating high-risk populations, hepatitis b immunoglobulin injections and mass education to the communities to reduce infection rates and stigma related to viral hepatitis. UUHC offers support to communities across Kenya with more emphasis to the remote & frontier counties to achieve WHO hepatitis goals. They focus more on the most vulnerable persons who often are the marginalised communities, refugees, people who inject drugs, LGBTQ and the nomadic pastoralist communities due to their statistical invisibility.
