SHEAD Centre’s activities on Viral Hepatitis centered on aggressive awareness creation and sensitization on the prevention and treatment of Viral Hepatitis especially Hepatitis B and C in the schools, community and society at large. Also of pertinent concerned to SHEAD Centre is mass screening of grass root community member on hepatitis which will thus aid them to know more about their individual status. We equally leverage on our current Global fund Community Active Case finding TB Project in the community to strengthened the political will of the stakeholders and call for unwavering support during advocacy visit to ensure viral hepatitis among deadly disease in the community is eliminated. As an organization we operate viral Hepatitis activities on out of Pocket which has been a major challenge for us as an organization as we intend to expand the scope of our activities on viral activities most especially as SHEAD Centre is still maintaining the Lead Organization in Osun State on GF NFM 3 TB Project and transitioning to continue as the Lead CBO in the new Grant Cycle 7 of GF TB/HIV grant. We sincerely hope that more support on tackling the menace of Viral Hepatitis will come from World Hepatitis Alliance and humbly wish our request to be a member is granted.
