SALI HOE is a non-governmental organisation established to save humanity, with its name formed as an acronym representing the four core organs of the Foundation. As part of our holistic approach to public health, we focus on addressing interconnected health challenges affecting vulnerable populations, particularly women.
Hepatitis and HIV within their Cervical Cancer Programme
In line with Article 5 of their Constitution, SALI HOE Foundation undertakes targeted hepatitis and HIV projects as part of their broader cervical cancer awareness and screening initiatives. Through this work, they have encountered women living with cervical cancer who are also affected by hepatitis B, C, and HIV-related complications.
Recognising the urgent need for integrated care, they refer such cases to hospitals and clinics for proper medical follow-up. Unfortunately, they recently lost one of their beneficiaries due to complications linked to hepatitis and HIV, highlighting the critical need for early detection, effective treatment, and ongoing management.
Their experience has shown that viral hepatitis is often overlooked within women’s health programmes, particularly among those already battling cancer.
As a grassroots organisation working closely with affected women, SALI HOE Foundation is committed to contributing to the global goal of eliminating viral hepatitis as a public health threat by 2030 — with a strong focus on women’s health, equity, and early intervention.
