The main aim of this organisation is to improve the lives and living standards of young people in rural areas of Tanzania. While there are a broad range of objectives linked to their mission the one which relates most to hepatitis in their constitution is to ‘establish sustained projects for poverty alleviations interventions and methods of combating socio-economic problems such as HIV/AIDS’.
Their key hepatitis activities focus on awareness-raising campaigns on HBV and promoting the need for testing and
vaccinations.
They are clear that while it is not their primary focus they have incorporated hepatitis into their Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights programs delivered to
young people.
