ENDA – “Environnement, developpement et action” – Environment, Development and Action is an International Non-Governmental Organization, of an associative and non-profit nature, created in 1972, with headquarters in Dakar (Senegal) and general consultative status at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). It has delegations in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Europe (Paris), the Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, India, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Tunisia, Vietnam, etc., and projects in more than two dozen countries. In addition to the country delegations, 24 autonomous organizations are members of the ENDA Tiers Monde Network. It officially reopened its delegation in Guinea-Bissau on December 18, 2008, when it signed a partnership agreement with the Government of Guinea-Bissau. In 2018 it began the process of transitioning into a national NGO, and in 2021 it completed this process with its National NGO certificate. ENDA Tiers Monde / ENDA Santé Guiné-Bissau has been carrying out hepatitis screening among the general population and key population since 2014, supporting the Ministry of Health through the National Program to Fight AIDS and Viral Hepatitis for the preparation of the strategic plan for the response to Viral Hepatitis. They participated in the study on protocol for conducting a cohort study on hepatitis B. Their ongoing projects carry out hepatitis B and C screening among different population groups.
