Dreamlopments (DLP) is a Thai-based not-for-profit foundation working on aid and sustainable development for marginalised communities. Dreamlopments was established in Thailand in 2015 as a private company limited. From inception, DLP Ltd was a non-profit social enterprise but gained formal certification as a social enterprise in October 2020 after a law in the Kingdom of Thailand was passed to formally recognize social enterprises. Dreamlopments Foundation has also been formally established in Thailand as a foundation in June 2019.
DLP implements 2 large projects of access to essential healthcare services: the Migrant Fund (M-FUND) – a low-cost not-for-profit health microinsurance for migrants, stateless and refugees, and C-FREE – a study on a model of community-based testing and treatment of viral hepatitis and other infectious diseases for people who use drugs and other at-risk populations.
C-FREE was launched in 2019 and currently involves 11 community sites across Thailand. Since inception, more than 5,000 high-risk individuals have been screened for hepatitis C (HCV) and hepatitis B (HBV). Close to 2,000 people living with HCV have initiated treatment with DAA for HCV, and 95% have been cured (per protocol). C-FREE results have participated to removal of drug use as an exclusion criteria for treatment of HCV under the Thai national treatment program since Nov 2022.
