CVG are working in communities in Cameroon to provide healthcare and social services, education support and access to training. They were originally set up in 2015, focusing on education but in 2021 had a change of name as they decided to focus on a more holistic approach to community interventions.
The organisation’s guiding statement and objectives make it clear that hepatitis is of primary concern to them. Their key objectives include promotion of hepatitis awareness and supporting rapid screening and care for hepatitis B patients.
They have a hepatitis B campaign which is led entirely by volunteer youths who are medical and healthcare professionals. The programme is dedicated to education and awareness raising around hepatitis B. Launched in January 2021 the mission is to prevent liver cancer in Cameroon.
