Their mission and vision focuses specifically on hepatitis. They aim to be the leading patient-oriented hepatitis organisation in the Caribbean, eliminating the incidence of acute hepatitis and reducing the disease burden from chronic HCV infection.
Their mission statement outlines their desire to provide effective services through education, screenings and advocacy. The have identified that in Jamaica there is a significant lack of knowledge from both the public and health care professionals about HCV and that this has a negative effect on the testing landscape in Jamaica. They therefore aim to educate health care professionals as the focus of their work.
