BCD360 was established in response to the urgent need to support marginalised individuals in hinterlands and suburban communities, with a particular focus on infectious disease prevention and control through evidence generation, advocacy, and empowerment.
Over time, BCD360 has evolved into an inclusive centre for the development and empowerment of young people and marginalised women.
The organisation’s activities include community education, particularly for high-risk groups; training community health workers and volunteers; supporting local surveillance efforts; providing free referrals for testing and vaccination; advocating for improved care and services; and conducting research to support evidence-based decision-making. Through these efforts, BCD360 aims to reduce the burden of disease and contribute towards elimination initiatives.
In collaboration with the Olive Right to Health Initiative (ORHI), BCD360 has participated in projects focused on Hepatitis B testing services and awareness campaigns, particularly in areas like Cross River and Nasarawa State.
