Officially registered in April 2021, AMOSA carries out disease prevention and health promotion activities mainly for non-communicable diseases and cancer (in relation to cancer, they are involved in the palliative care network at a national level.), however, they are very vocal about hepatitis B and C and share a lot of information on their social media. They took a part in the campaign called Julho Amarelo (Yellow July). The initiative, represented by a yellow ribbon, reinforces the importance of surveillance, prevention and control actions against viral hepatitis. During this campaign they shared a lot of information not only about hepatitis B and C but also about the World Hepatitis Day. In their environmental activities related to water, they provide education about diseases such as hepatitis A and its relationship with liver cancer.
