What We Do and Why

We change people's lives

To achieve a world free from viral hepatitis, the World Hepatitis Alliance provides global leadership in awareness-raising, advocacy and the fight to end its social injustice

Comprised of 240+ member organisations in over 80 countries worldwide, the World Hepatitis Alliance contributes to the global fight against viral hepatitis by running global awareness days, convening high-level policy events, building capacity and pioneering global movements.

As such, our work is strategically structured around three pillars of action; awareness-raising, advocacy and ending the social injustice of viral hepatitis, each of which contribute to our overall vision of a world free from viral hepatitis.

All of our actions work towards eliminating viral hepatitis by 2030, achieving the goals set out in WHO's Viral Hepatitis Strategy and the targets set out in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). We also realise its elimination isn’t just a health issue but can benefit many other areas of our society and can help achieve many of the SDG targets. End the Social Injustice of Viral Hepatitis
