I am thrilled and honoured to be invited to participate in this exciting project. I’m a strong believer in the power of the individual, and telling our stories is the best way to help people understand what hepatitis C is really about.

I am not a writer. I love words and telling stories but I’ve never written a blog before, and frankly I’m a little nervous. Will I be entertaining? What, exactly, will I write about? Will it be about me or about the issues I’m interested in?

Last night I was thinking it all over and I came up with an idea. I decided I would have fun with the blog. If I enjoy doing it then surely the words will come and I hope you will enjoy reading.

I look forward to sharing with you my experiences of living with hepatitis C, while emphasizing that everyone is different. I want to tell you about my attitudes to this disease, how I cope and how I manage my illness. I hope to give an Australian perspective on hepatitis C, on what support is available here.
