Petar

My name is Petar, I am 45 years old. I live in Croatia, a small, lovely country in the south-east Europe. I found out that I have hepatitis B (HBV) approx. 14 years ago during a routine check-up. How did I get it...

Rollin on the river

Rollin on the river

Yesterday I went with my friends to canoeing on the Cetina river. The weather was beautiful, almost like a middle of the summer. Opposite of the hot air (30), the river was really refreshing (16, I think). The journey was 3 hours long. It is very hard to describe how beautiful the nature is there. And the river is so clean that people drink it.

The river was mainly slow but nevertheless, there were a several white waters and cascades where you have to pay attention to what your guide is doing and where he paddles. If you don’t, and if you try to take pictures in a wrong moment (on a white water), then you end up in the water. Luckily, we were all equipped with floating vests.

When you have hepatitis, a regular exercise is recommended by doctors and I couldn’t imagine a better way to exercise and relax than this. Much better than a gym or anything similar. Rollin on the river was like three hours on combined exercise and meditation.

And, it has one more purpose, to take my mind off the next month when I will do my regular PCR check.

‘Till next time
