Petar

My name is Petar, I am 45 years old. I live in Croatia, a small, lovely country in the south-east Europe. I found out that I have hepatitis B (HBV) approx. 14 years ago during a routine check-up. How did I get it...

The ecstasy of gold(en pills)

10/31/10
Just came back from tennis.
Incredibly funny! I forgot to mention that only one person in our group played tennis before.
So, at the end of the “game” my stomach was hurting from laughing. The tennis ball wasn’t only flying object but it was rackets as well.
I even managed to make two scores (after my opponent dodged a ball that was flying directly at his head).
It was two hours of pure fun.
And of course, after the match we had some light but delightful meal.

Returning home was not a problem but doing something useful was. Exhausted and with the full stomach I was able only to sit back and watch TV.
Except when the alarm on my mobile phone reminded me that it was time to take another pill. Hmmm, I like melody of my alarm, seems just the right one when I think about the price of the pills.
Sometimes I think that I’m extremely lucky because I managed to achieve another donation of my pills and now I am at peace for at least six more months. But to achieve donation, it takes a lot of patience, luck and nerves. Just like Eli Wallach (Tuco) in the movie scene from the alarm melody.
You people, in the western countries takes some things for granted.
Well, next time when you take a pill try to imagine that it is your last – that you don’t have money for the next one.
And you ain’t Clint Eastwood.
