POLICY
The adoption of a resolution on viral hepatitis in May 2010 illustrates that, in principle, the 193 World Health Organization (WHO) member states are committed to taking action to tackle hepatitis B and C. The World Hepatitis Alliance believes that every country where there is significant prevalence of hepatitis B and/or C should have a comprehensive national strategy to tackle these diseases. We have produced a policy toolkit designed to help you work with your government to develop a national strategy that can be implemented in your country, including suggestions and examples of how you can do this successfully.
This toolkit includes the following:
1. Preparing your campaign
2. Discussions with your government
3. Activity on World Hepatitis Day
4. Engaging with WHO
5. Using the media to create understanding
